- Ok I am newer to insurance and with both Aflac and Farmers. My friends and family thought I was “nuts” to go into insurance as I was debating 2 years ago between it, and a pharma sales position…..my education was in chemical engineering and environmental engineering from OSU and I had worked as an engineer in high tech for 8 yrs. So, to trade a nice “cush” salary for a commission only insurance position…yeah, I guess I could see the “nuts” perspective! But, you guys all understand the reason behind my perceived sanity….it’s SEXY baby! ;)
Ok…so I am “rethinking” some strategies on how to start getting my business more profitable and ramp growth – maybe we can brainstorm together. Hoping to work it so that neither me, or my part time service rep, gets inundated with more paperwork (Farmers seems to have a lot), wasting time quoting internet leads while competing with 5 or more other agents, or handling “billing issues” or taking payments at an office for other people’s clients. In fact, I prefer to work from a home office and meet the client at their business, coffee shop, lunch spot, or home and they seem to like that too. Not sure what you have all found?
Maybe some others out there have read the book, "4 Hour Workweek"...well, that would be my ideal and eventual goal:) Any others out there like me? With the web and internet technology it seems there could be a lot of opportunity for change in the industry for us out there Would love to hear your ideas, and what has worked and hasn’t.
Oh,…in case you really want to know about me outside insurance if anyone is interested; I LOVE playing sports, outdoors, and hiking in the woods with big my dogs. I am always striving to learn new things and grow as a person, and open to new ideas and culture. I love travel both overseas (been to Tokyo, Nigeria, Beijing, Shanghai) and in the states. My favorite TV shows that I “must” watch include the Celebrity Apprentice, and Project Runway (and 24 once is comes back on finally??)

Sure, you can link to that little social network from Sexy Ins, no problemo. In your text box on your page, highlight some text and add a hyperlink with the icon to the left of the picture icon at the top of the box.
MySpace players are pretty lame. Unfortunately, you can't play your tunes from Sexy Ins from MySpace, but you should be able to embed the player over there. Just click "embed" on your player and a bit of code should pop up that you can drop into your MySpace profile (sort of like the badge process)
